Now to Lucifron, by the time the DPS group has brought down the two adds the main tank should have climbed high on Lucifron’s hate list, so you shouldn’t have any problem with aggro management. Other that that there isn’t much to say about the adds as they are fairly easy to bring down. To counter this we use 1 priest to keep an eye on if they mind control someone in the raid and dispel it instantly. Dispel the effect on players that become mind controlled (do not kill them). The Adds Lucifron’s guardians have one nasty ability: Mind Control: Controls one of your raid members and turns him against you. After this is done you have the hard part covered, but of course this is not all, the fight has merely started. While that is being done the main tank’s healers move up (the turquoise dots) stand on a safe distance and heal him while the DPS group is taking care of the adds. While all this is being done, the warrior assigned to tank Lucifron runs out towards the paladin or the hunters pet, and fires up a taunt to grab Lucifron’s attention and drag him to the yellow dot (if you can spare any hunters, you can use the same trick with the distracting shot for the main tank as well).
Once the warriors have the mobs under control the DPS group should pick one of the adds and get him down, then move onto the next one. Before the pull you need to assign one warrior to each add and one to Lucifron, and thus two hunters assigned to the two warriors that will tank the adds the hunters’ job here is to fire off a distracting shot to pull down the two adds away from Lucifron and towards the two warriors and the DPS pack (The green lines in the picture illustrates where the hunters should be standing). The Pull The actual pull can be done in different ways, we usually use a paladin that runs in puts up divine shield and then runs back toward the main tank, but you can also pull him with a hunter’s pet using the Eye of the Beast skill, there are probably many other ways to do this as well. In the picture just below the purple line is a Corehound pack that obviously needs to be cleared out before attempting the boss fight do not get too close to Lucifron when clearing these mobs.
The following picture will demonstrate how to do the pull and how to split up the adds. LUCIFRON In this relatively short guide that will explain how to kill Lucifron and how to split up his adds, what might be the most important part of this whole fight.
